About Peninsula News
Peninsula News is owned by Peninsula Community
Access Newspaper Inc, an incorporated non-profit association.
Its aims include providing a viable, non-partisan news medium and forum exclusively for
the Peninsula and developing a sense of community on the Peninsula.
The newspaper is operated by Mail Order Mall under licence from the association.
The paper actively encourages all groups and individuals on the Peninsula to contribute
their news, opinions and items of interest for publication.
Contributions to the paper are edited to consistent standards of readability. Guidelines
are available for intending contributors.
Community members are also invited to contribute by taking photos, typing, joining the
association, or participating in committees (the association needs a secretary).
There are 14,000 copies printed and distributed within the 2256 and 2257 postcode areas,
as well as to subscribers outside the area.
Nearly half of these are distributed through schools, with the rest at licensed clubs,
libraries, retirement villages and other key sites to be picked up by readers. Call for a
list of distribution points.
