Pound expectations

As a ratepayer of Gosford Council, these are the things I ask for, or rather I expect, at Gosford Council Pound:
-
That the pound open from 9am-4pm on weekdays and four hours on Saturdays for the public to visit.

-
That it advertise for dogs to be re-homed and makes a concerted effort.
-
That staff like animals and be trained in how to care for them.
-
That veterinary care be provided if and when needed.
-
That puppy food be fed to the pups several times a day and that they be kept warm and dry with good and proper bedding.
-
That soft food be provided for the old or sick animals and those that have bad teeth.
-
That good quality dry food be provided for healthy dogs.
-
That a regular supply of fresh water be provided for all dogs.
Because of the extraordinary neglect and the conditions in which these dogs live in at the pound, it is not even close to being acceptable at present.
Please give them a chance. They have not committed any crime. They just need to be needed and loved.
In closing, I would like to offer my services as a volunteer to feed, groom, walk and look after the animals.
