Club continues to court amalgamation |
Woy Woy Bowling Club has received approaches from other clubs as far away as Sydney for possible amalgamation.
Club chairman Mr Alan Byrne said talks had taken place with Woy Woy Leagues, Club Umina, Ettalong Beach Memorial and Pittwater RSL.
Mr Byrne also said that the club was "waiting to hear back" from Central Coast Leagues Club and Bankstown Sports Club.
He said that his club was requiring a management agreement with "a financial commitment at entry".
Mr Byrne said a large club would be in a better financial position to accommodate the bowling club's financial requirements and to place a manager at Woy Woy.
"A larger club would also be better placed to promote and develop Woy Woy Bowling Club to the point where it can again show a profit," he said.
"Having said that, we would not dismiss a smaller club provided it could show this club it has the ability to meet our needs."
