Exhibition held at community centre

The Ettalong Beach Arts and Crafts centre held its annual Christmas exhibition and sale over three days from November 29 to December 1 at the Peninsula Community Centre.

It was opened by Father Chris Riley with the Member for Peats Ms Marie Andrews, Gosford Mayor Cr Robert Bell, Cr Lynne Bockholt and Cr Debra Wales being present.

Total sales exceeded $6000.

Fr Riley, who heads the Youth off the Streets project, was presented with a quilt by president Carol Leitch.

The quilt is the first in a series of seven hand-made quilts for the Youth Off The Streets centre situated at Mangrove Mountain.

The fair has been booked for the same venue on November 28, 29 and 30 next year.

The centre was established in 1975.
