Read and comment, Minister urges

The NSW Government is seeking public comment on a regional action plan that describes the preparation of an "integrated urban area strategy" for the Peninsula.

The draft "Shaping the Central Coast Action Plan" was released by Minister Assisting the Premier for the Central Coast, Mr John Della Bosca.

He said the document was a collaborative effort of PlanningNSW, Gosford and Wyong Councils.

"The draft plan is the result of a large number of resident submissions, public forums, community interviews and over 12 months of consultation between the community, the councils and the State Government," Mr Della Bosca said.

"I urge everyone on the Coast to read the draft action plan and send in their comments."

The draft plan will be on exhibition between December 6 and February 14.

Copies will be available on the websites of Gosford Council, Wyong Council and PlanningNSW and via the sale of CDs and copies of the actual Plan.

PlanningNSW will hold public forums in January across the region to provide the opportunity for the community to discuss the plan.

Dates and locations will be advertised.

For further information, the community is encouraged to contact the PlanningNSW Central Coast regional office on 4323 7000 or email gosford@planning.nsw.gov.au.
