Rotary visits college farm

 

The Rotary Club of Umina Beach visited the agricultural farm at Brisbane Water Secondary College Umina campus on Wednesday, November 27.

Mark Fisher hosted the event explaining various parts of the farm, the vegetable garden and the detrimental effects of the drought to members of the Rotary Club.

Umina campus principal Mr Frank Gasper and College principal Mr Pat Lewis attended the occasion.

Rotarians mingled with students, teachers and assistants to extend the bond between the two organisations.

A cheque was presented by Rotary to the hospitality section of the school and arrangements were made for the club to donate a spear pump to assist in the watering of the vegetable garden.
