A group of 16 students from Woy Woy Public School have participated in the NSW Schools Spectacular at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
The show involved 3500 primary and secondary public school students from around the state.
The Sydney Entertainment Centre was filled to capacity for three shows.
According to Woy Woy Public School principal, Mr Warrick Hannon, the quality of music, singing, dancing, drama and choreography was equal to the best anywhere in the world.
"It made me very proud to know that 16 of our students were part of this spectacular show," Mr Hannon said.
"Our students were outstanding in their sequence of 'Consider Yourself'.
"The hours of rehearsal and travelling truly paid off.
"I know I have thanked our dance teachers Rae Campbell and Marea McGinley many times before for their efforts with our dance festivals but they deserve extra credit today for the huge amount of time they devoted to get these students to perform at the spectacular.
"From costume making, driving to Sydney to purchase material, organising mini buses, spending their personal time, we are indeed fortunate to have these two talented and dedicated teachers at our school.
"Well done kids and teachers, you did us proud," Mr Hannon said.
The students involved in the production were Lizzie Bennett, Gem Gem Santos, Diane Herr, Jessica Vesdo, Sammi Jones, Eleena Campbell Caria Alexander, Nicole Campbell, Samantha Shepherd, Ashleigh Christian, Jessie Leslie, Shannon Blackledge, Amanda Douglas, Amy Stables, Elise Cansdale, and Jack Saunders.
The Schools Spectacular was broadcast on ABC television on Sunday, December 15, at 7.30pm.
