Taekwon Do grading held

Authentic Taekwon-Do held a grading seminar in the CWA Hall in Umina on Saturday, December 7.

Over 20 students were tested and passed for their next belt.

Three people successfully tested for their Black Belt.

They were Mitchell Anderson, Michael Higgins and Helen Woods.

All were graded by Sabum Jamie Moore, a sixth dan black belt, chief instructor of Authentic Taekwon-Do and president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation in Australia.

He travelled from Queensland for the grading.

Instructor Amanda Morrison conducted the classes in Umina.

She is a third dan black belt and the highest ranking female in Authentic Taekwon-Do.

Amanda congratulated all students who attended and passed their grading.

She also congratulated four of her students who travelled to Melbourne earlier this month for the national titles, with Melissa Woods achieving a second place in the women's open novice team sparring.

Classes are held in the CWA Hall in Umina, corner of Ocean Beach Rd and Sydney Ave, Umina 2257

Monday and Thursday nights junior classes are held 5:30 to 6:30pm, followed by adults from 6:30 to 7:30pm
