Other cycleway users

What other species will use the proposed cycleway on the reserve other than cyclists?

Not only children playing games, picnickers, joggers, dogs and their owners, hikers of all nationalities, but just birds, many birds, particularly in winter.

With clubs of cyclists whirling past, will the egrets, pelicans, native ducks, willy wagtails, cranes, cormorants, hawks, spoonbills and plovers stick around for all to view and admire?

A reserve should be for trees for climbing and shade, and for roosts, and the lawns for worms to pick at, in short for picnickers and birds, not a roadway.

The small reserve, Lions Park, at the end of North Burge Rd, has been paved and regimented into mediocrity. Please do not do the same to the rest of the reserve here.
