Fast ferry stand supported

 

Marie Andrews, I support your stand on the "Fast Ferry" service.

It shows you have a backbone of your own.

Personally, I'm troubled by the fact that Alf Salter and Co, when not up here pushing Ettalong to Sydney, are down in Wollongong pushing the same type of proposal in the opposite direction.

The State Government knows it's not a financially-viable proposition.

That's why there is no funding.

The thinking person sees the same thing that Fox and Lew tried to accomplish with Ansett, getting a guarantee from the Government to allow money to be borrowed on lame duck proposals.

If it were to go ahead, we would have two lame ducks.

After all, the road system is still an unfulfilled promise.

People who think with their pockets and short-term reward are the reason the Central Coast is in trouble.
