Skate park lighting tried

 

Gosford Council has started a trial of lighting Umina skate park daily until 9.30pm.

"This is a first for Gosford Council and strengthens Council's commitment to skateboarding and recreation facilities," said council media officer Ms Vicki Brown.

The success of the trial will depend on the behaviour of the park users and Council will monitor the site closely.

"It is the responsibility of the skaters to ensure the lighting becomes a permanent feature," said Ms Brown.
