Parents buy speakers and shelters

The Empire Bay Public School P&C committee has approved funding for new speakers for the outside the hall.

The speakers will be used when people sit outside the hall on presentation day, and for school performances and the talent quests.

Funds were also allocated for the purchase of a high quality Year 6 graduation package and for shelters which are currently being installed over new seating for the senior students at the back of the school.

These roof shelters would have been beyond the means of the school and the parent body without the help of a parent in the roofing industry.

The new seating is expected to be installed around November 10.

The money raised from the students' dance-a-thon earlier this year has paid for the seating and the concreting while the P&C provided the funds for the roofing and its installation.
