Tall ship visits Broken Bay
Sydney Heritage Fleet's tall ship "James Craig" paid a visit to the tranquil waters of Broken Bay for an overnight visit recently as part of a round trip from Port Jackson.
The restored square-rigger carried over 40 paying passengers who disembarked for the Saturday evening staying over at the Broken Bay's NSW Sport and Recreation Centre.
A south-east wind with two to three metre seas carried the "James Craig" north from Sydney on the Saturday morning accompanied by a large pod of dolphins.
In clear skies and a 25 - 30 knot south to south-east wind on Sunday morning, the "James Craig" sailed off her moorings "full and bye" under fore and aft sails and returned down the coast to her home port of Sydney Harbour.
Organiser Ms Sybil Edwards said: "The trip was such a success we're coming back as soon as possible.
"Broken Bay is so beautiful."
