Umina CWA holds art exhibition

Umina Beach branch of the Country Women's Association held its third art exhibition on Saturday, October 19.

Over 100 guests including members from six CWA branches, representatives from Probus, Meals on Wheels, Legacy, and church groups drank champagne and ate chicken sandwiches, whilst viewing paintings by the students of Amber Art Studio.

President Mrs Helen Parkinson welcomed guests, then introduced Member for Peats, Ms Marie Andrews, who officially opened the exhibition.

Ms Andrews spoke highly of the charitable work done by the CWA, not just at Umina, but throughout the whole of NSW.

A painting donated by Mrs Judith Hoste, of Amber Art Studio, was won by Mrs M Hardwick-Jones.

A Hair Anew Gift Pack was won by Mrs J Drury.

Champagne was won by Mrs B Nicholls, and a pot plant was won by Mrs C Wren.

The cake, craft and Christmas stalls were well stocked and well patronised.
