Interest sought in Australia Day

 

The organising committee for the Australia Day celebration at Woy Woy is seeking expressions of interest for community participation in next year's event.

The committee would like to hear from community groups interested in taking stalls.

Space will be free for non-profit organisations but stall holders need to bring their own table and chairs.

"This is a great opportunity for community groups to promote what they do and to gain more volunteers," said committee member Mr Cec Bucello.

"Ideally, each community display will have an activity or pro-active display so that people can actually do something related to that community group.

"They can sell products if they wish."

The celebration will be held on Australia Day, January 26, from 8am through to late afternoon.
