Put graffiti photo with reward

 

I refer to two articles about graffiti in Peninsular News of October 9.

One was about Mr Altavilla offering a substantial reward for information leading to a prosecution of the graffiti artists on his property and the other was about graffiti damage at Putty Beach including a photograph.

Now, most graffiti artists include a signature in their work (this is one of their main points) and this can be seen clearly in the photo.

I know that many of the offenders acquaintances would recognise the signature and therefore know who the artist is.

Would it not be a good idea to combine the photograph and the reward offer because I am sure that $1000 is an offer that a lot of them could not refuse?

This technique could be applied (reward and photo) through your publication and I feel would go a long way in curbing this stupid graffiti vandalism.
