Toilets are disgraceful

 

I would like to bring to your notice the men's toilet block situated behind the Umina library.

These toilets are the most disgraceful I have ever had occasion to use.

The lighting is very dim with low wattage and dirty flourescent fittings.

The place smells terrible and can be smelt from the footpath outside.

The cubicles leave nothing to be desired, one with no doof and the other two with padbolts securing them.

There is even excreta wiped on the walls of the cubicles along with the usual graffiti.

The two hand basins are the pride of the toilets - rusted with sharp edges where the rust has eaten into them.

I have complained to a councillor on three occasions about this but nothing has been done to rectify the matter.

As they are the only toilets in the Umina CBD area, tourists and others must think ... well, I will leave this to your imagination.

I have complained about this over a period of three years.
