Oyster festival is planned
The Brisbane Water Oyster Festival will be held on Saturday, November 30.
The festival will be held in Anderson Park on the Woy Woy Waterfront.
The festival is a major annual event on the waterfront and will run from 9am to 4pm.
The day will start at 9am with the arrival of the boating flotilla down Brisbane Water for the Blessing of the Fleet.
A feature of this year's festival will be non-stop family entertainment with South American band Surkuy in the morning.
The afternoon will feature a rock and roll competition with the band The Shakers.
Street theatre will be an added attraction with stilt walkers and balloon sculpture artists.
The day will include children's activities including amusement rides and face painting.
An array of arts and crafts stalls and local displays will be of interest to all attending.
Members of the local Fisherman's Association will be on hand with a selection of seafood.
There will also be wine stalls and a variety of other culinary outlets.
