College debating team reaches semi-final

 

Phil Halpin and the Year 10 Brisbane Water Secondary College (BWSC) debating team lost to North Sydney Boys High School in the State semi final last week.

The team was Daniel Stone, Emma Hamilton, Lauren Collins and Nicole Swindlehurst, standing in for Alex Beaton who was on holiday in England.

Arguing the negative for "A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing", some observers thought BWSC might have just done enough to win but this was not to be.
