Too much concrete

 

Flooding and deaths in Indonesia this week have been caused by badly-planned over-development and lack of land available to absorb water, in other words, too much concrete.

Surely we do not have to endure the same here on the Central Coast because those in power just will not listen.

Over-development must be stopped and stricter, environmentally-friendly planning laws have to be passed and enforced before we all get swept away.

Are we just slow learners or does the smell of money, developer's donations to political parties, affect our integrity?
