Galipoli Av to be upgraded

 

Gosford Council has accepted its own tender for reconstruction of Galipoli Ave, Woy Woy.

The work involves the reconstruction of 370 metres of Galipoli Ave, including road realignment, drainage works, kerb and gutter, concrete footpaths, concrete parking bays and associated works.

The work will take six weeks starting in early March.

Tenders for the reconstruction of Galipoli Avenue Woy Woy closed on January 15.

Tenders were also received from Gilbert's Asphalt and Excavator Services Umina, Kingston Industries Pty Ltd West Ryde, North Shore Paving Co Pty Ltd Lindfield, Delcare Constructions Pty Ltd Erina, and G M Foster Constructions Pty Ltd Brookvale.

The tenders were assessed for price, financial capacity and resources, previous experience and performance, quality of work, environmental management and occupational health and safety HS & R.

Officers recommended the Council's own tender, having "satisfactorily completed many projects of similar size".
