New teachers announced
Brisbane Water Secondary College has announced teacher transfers in and out of Umina and Woy Woy campuses for its inaugural year.
Five teachers will transfer "internally" between Woy Woy and Umina.
Mr Bill Donald (History) will move from Woy Woy to Umina:
Moving from Umina to Woy Woy are Mrs Marg Robson (Science), Mr Kym Holliday (Science), Mr Roger Macey (History) and Mr Chris Wright (English)
Five teachers are leaving Umina. They are Mrs Ruth Woodford (Henry Kendall); Mrs Cathy McSkimming (Henry Kendall); Mr Wayne Maguire (Gosford); Ms Megan Caldwell (Merewether) and Mr David McBride (Batemans Bay).
Two teachers are leaving Woy Woy: Ms Sandra Hiscock (Cessnock) and Mr Eric Frankum (other employment).
Teachers coming from other schools are: Ms Dianne Arnold (English); Ms Cherie Gilchrist (English); Ms Sharon Corbett (English); Mr Doug Graves (English); Mr Wayne Rountree (Music); Mrs Lorraine Hartman (Science); Ms Rhonda Boardman (Social Science); Mr Don Brooker (Industrial Arts); Ms Melanie Rose (Languages); Ms Dixie Brown (Maths); Ms Maria Matheson (Maths); Ms Sharon Newbury (PDHPE); Mr Mark Rae (PDHPE) and Mr Craig White (PDHPE)
Umina's newly promoted Head Teacher Support is Margaret Wood.
Negotiations with the bus company have resulted in morning and afternoon bus runs being organised so that each campus can retain its current operating times.
This means that starting and finishing times for each campus will be: Umina campus 8:20am - 2:40pm and Woy Woy campus 8:30am - 2:50pm, an earlier finish due to move to the new five-period day)
The College will have its own mini bus this year to transport students between campuses and for excursions and sport.
The bus has been donated by Woy Woy Leagues Club.
The club has also donated to the College a tractor, slasher, and a ride on mower.
