Church celebrates

The Uniting Church has opened its doors to the community to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, born on Christmas Day.

There will be a Parish Service at 9am in the Umina Church on Sunday, December 18, which will cater to all ages and will be the only Uniting Church service on the Peninsula for the day.

The Peninsula Choir will present a program at 5pm entitled The Fragrance of Christmas in the church on the corner of Neptune St and Ocean Beach Rd.

Family Carols will be held outside the church on Christmas Eve at 8pm.

To help defray the cost of the glowsticks, a gold coin donation has been requested.

Services will be held at 8am in both the Umina and Ettalong churches on Christmas Day.

Sunday services during January will be at Umina Church 9am with Café Church at 6pm, and 9.30am in the Ettalong Church on Picnic Pde, Ettalong.

All activities will be in recess for the January holiday break.

"We wish everyone a very blessed, holy, happy and safe Christmas and enjoyable holiday period," said church secretary Ms Annette Strong.
