Council to install second device

Gosford Council has decided to install a second traffic-calming device in Orange Grove Rd.

The decision resolves an impasse over the plan, stretching back three years when two traffic-calming devices were originally planned.

One device was successfully installed last year.

The installation of the second device was delayed, after objections were received from neighbouring residents over the loss of parking and perceived lowering of property values.

However, after approaches from other residents, council's traffic committee has recommended that council endorse plans for the second calming device.
