The carve up of the Ettalong dune area by the council, the club and the chamber of commerce will, no doubt, look Mickey Mouse and like the Gold Coast.

But I wonder what will happen if we get a repeat of the 1974 cyclone, when six houses were washed into the sea at Wamberal.

No doubt that the planners have studied King Canute.

He solved the sea dashing against the foreshore didn't he?
