Get tough with gangs

In the 1930s, the razor gangs terrorised Sydney until Premier Jack Lang and Police Commissioner McKay turned tough and brought in the Consorting Act.

That signalled the end of the razor gangs.

Why can't they get tough with the Sydney gangs of today, heavily armed though they may be.

If the police are intimidated by these gangs, it's time to bring in the SAS.

Armed gangs should not rule part of Sydney.

It is a path of violence and civil instability.
