Gosford Council has received a petition about a "nuisance dog" on Boongala Rd, Empire Bay.
The petition, with five signatures of Boongala Rd residents, stated that a dog in the street was constantly barking day and night and roaming the streets.
They also said that they felt the dog was being treated cruelly after several observations of the dog becoming tangled up on a peg in the backyard.
The petitioners asked council to approach the owner to "see if something could be done".
