Call for Patonga sewerage |
A sewerage scheme at Patonga Creek would be undertaken, if the Local Government and Shires Association had its way.
It has called on the State Government and the Opposition to provide $1 billion over 10 years to reduce a backlog of water supply and sewerage services.
Another scheme would be constructed at Bensville.
Both are new sewerage schemes and both have a ranking of three with the Department of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability.
The association has released the second of a series of policy papers, titled Country Towns Water Supply and Sewerage Program, aimed at candidates in next year's State election.
