Concerned about climate change

Gosford Council has received a petition with 22 signatures from local residents, with concerns about the effects of climate change on the low-lying areas of the Peninsula.

The petitioners asked that council "urgently seek specialist coastal management advice as a scientific basis for the preparation of a foreshore management plan to protect the Peninsula foreshore areas".

Council has referred the petition to its Open Space and Leisure Services directorate.
