Car should be accessory |
Malcolm Brooks is right.
There must be a population cap on the Central Coast.
All you have to do is drive along the Entrance Rd, Terrigal Dr or the Pacific Highway at peak times to realise we are in a grid-lock, seam-bursting situation.
The politicians and bureaucrats will want to build 20-lane highways to solve the problem with our money.
Our money is better spent on proper human services, such as hospitals, schools, the environment, sport and culture.
These highway monstrosities will only cause environmental and social devastation.
Public transport is the key to proper urban planning.
The car should be the accessory, the convenience, not the selfish, dominant player that it is today.
