Irish play rugby union in Woy Woy

One of only four matches in the Ireland Rugby Union tour of Australia will be played at Woy Woy next Monday, May 31.
The team will play the NSW country representative side, the Country Cockatoos, this week before going on to play the State side, the Warratahs, next week at the Sydney Football Stadium.
Ireland will play Australia at Ballymore, Brisbane, on June 12 and at Subiaco, Perth, on June 19.
The Cockatoos team includes players from the Central Coast as well as players from as far afield as Moree, Albury, Dubbo, Cooma and Ballina.
"This is an exciting season for NSW Country Rugby," said NSW Country Rugby Union president Mr Laurie Maher.
"Already this season the Cockatoos have played the Queensland Reds (a full strength Super 12 team) and contested the final of the Country Cup.
"In August, the Cockatoos will tour Canada on a five-match tour to assist Rugby Canada prepare for their World Cup campaign.
"The opportunity to play an international against one of the Home Unions will be the highlight of the year for the players," he said.
The Irish team will arrive this Wednesday and train on the Central Coast in preparation for the tour.
