Maintenance is programmed

Gosford Council has decided to increase its building maintenance program, which includes eight Peninsula buildings, by $70,000 per year.
The eight buildings include Ettalong’s Senior Citizens Centre, Progress Hall and Woy Woy’s Women’s Health Centre.
The other buildings are Umina’s Child Care Centre in Australia Avenue, Child Abuse Prevention Centre, Public Hall and the Bullion Street Amenities Block as well as the Woy Woy Neighbourhood Centre.
The $70,000 budget includes a $12,000 allocation to upgrade disabled and safety standards.
Council is also looking at ways for the respective committees of the organisations that use the buildings to contribute financially.
